Description

Soak in the hot tub. Take in the expansive views over Romney Marsh and the owners vines. Feel at one with nature. Speed along the sand in a yacht made for land. And... breathe. You’re here, and you’re welcome.

Sustainable luxury

You’ll feel instantly at ease in this gorgeous barn conversion. There are little touches of eco-excellence sprinkled throughout. You’ll see it has been built in green oak, using sustainable energy systems with a ground source heat pump, solar panels and underfloor heating. Holiday on a lighter conscience and relax in a setting inspired by its natural surroundings.

When a dip in temperature calls for cosy, help yourself to logs for relaxing by the wood burning stove in the comfort of a sumptuous sofa under the timber vaulted ceilings. Melt into the hot tub in the enclosed garden, sipping a little something special as you soak in the glorious evening views across Romney Marsh and the owner’s vineyards.

Step out of your door on to the Saxon Shore Way for a stroll to the 14th century Ferry Inn where’s you’ll be welcomed by a roaring log fire and tempted to taste famous Rye Bay scallops.

When it’s time to shine, let your friendly try a new sport - sand yachting or surfboarding, at the fabulously unspoilt beach at Camber Sands, famous for being the long sand dune on the South Coast. And on retreat from the beach, the picturesque cobbled streets and half-timbered houses of medieval Rye will transport you back in time.

For a touch of luxury with extensive entertaining and relaxation space for up to 16 people, book the adjoining The Old Cowshed and Churchlands Barn - the owner can provide details of an excellent caterer too.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The clean lines and classic elegance roll on into the bedrooms where you’ll sink into a handmade bespoke king size bed in the master, and two singles in the second. An impressive bathroom with rain shower and sensor lighting makes it feel like home.

Reviews

Beautiful property, well-thought out design, especially with the enclosed garden for the dog and being able to walk her on the lead around the vineyard. Excellent views over the vineyard to Camber all the way to Folkestone Down. Cottage was tastefully decorated and understated, nothing twee. We were combining our trip with visiting old friends in Kent and the Glebe was a great base. Lovely pub nearby, The Ferry Inn, with delicious food and friendly staff. Lots to do in the area. I love rural Kent and this property had it all. Will certainly be planning to return.

Mrs K,

Lovely cottage, beautiful countryside with excellent views, great hot tub and pet friendly garden. Had a great week, not far from the coast, good local pub with great food and dog friendly, all in all was superb.

Mrs D,

Very comfortable cottage in a peaceful location but within reach of plenty of things to do and places to visit. Nice area to walk a dog and a secure area around the cottage for your furry friend.
