Description
A nook nestled in the North Devon countryside that’s just for two. No ordinary one-couple holiday cottage, this spacious retreat for two teases you with the temptation of its own private, indoor hot tub.
Exmoor excess
Rarely does a holiday cottage for two presents so much space inside and out. You’ll have space to spread out and to soak up the glorious views of the Exmoor countryside, literally from the babbling bubbles of your private hot tub. All on one level and skirting the edges of Exmoor National Park, Crows Nest is rather unique. Reached by a private single track driveway, you’ll barely believe your eyes at its elevated position and its enviable views. It’s an idyllic writer’s retreat, the perfect place to switch off from everyday life, and a gem of a spot for walking, horse riding, cycling and fishing.
The cottage welcomes you with its vast glass doors and you’ll barely want to close when the weather is fine. There are views from every angle through tall picture windows that pour in the light and call you out into the open. The open plan living space with its high quality kitchen is perfect for rustling up a little supper from the day’s catch or your haul of local produce from nearby Bampton. All you need is your preferred tipple and your swimwear for a relaxing evening in the hot tub.
For days out and about in Devon or on Exmoor you’ll rarely be better placed. It’s just over a mile’s wander to the village pub in the pretty hamlet of Cove. After a day’s walking, make your way to your private terrace for a well earned gin and tonic while you savour the view and your stunning immediate surroundings. You’re world away from everything here. Set in the grounds of the owner’s farm there are four more cottages on the land should you want to return with your friends and share that view.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The bedroom here has couples in mind with its sumptuous kingsize bed and ample storage, even if you’re staying a while. The adjacent shower room is beautifully presented.
