Description
Revel in the sunsets from your own private hot tub. Sink into elegance. Explore ancient towns and vibrant beaches. And breathe a little more deeply as you feel right at home.
Eco elegance
Casual elegance awaits you in this idyllic haven - a home away from home with added relaxation stirred in. As you step inside, you’ll be struck by the light pouring in to the bright, fresh open plan living area with its comfy sofas. You’ll see the timbered vaulted ceilings, the beams and artfully created spaces and know you can simply be at ease. You’ll tick the eco credentials when you realise The Old Cowshed’s energy comes from hidden solar panels, and ground source heat pumps fuel the comforting underfloor heating.
Meander outside with a glass of fizz to indulge in the expansive views from the hot tub, which is tucked away in your own private garden. As the sun finally sets, help yourself to logs for the cosy wood burning stove and stretch out on a squashy sofa. Playful touches - a polar bear fresco in the bathroom adding a light-hearted touch to this most elegant of rural retreats.
When you’re ready to explore, the Saxon Shore Way is right on your doorstep, with walks and cycle rides a-plenty, and the fabulous sand dune of Camber Sands just down the road. Challenge yourself to try something new - sand yachting, anyone? By now you’ll have worked up an appetite. A short stroll away from your door, incredible food awaits at the 14th century Ferry Inn. Don’t miss their famous Rye Bay scallops foodie event in February! You’ve a charcoal barbecue for al fresco dining. Or for an extra touch of luxury, why not book the owner’s excellent caterer?
For group gatherings of up to twelve, The Old Cowshed can be booked along with Churchlands Barn. A secure adjoining door connects the properties. Or for groups up to eight, book with neighboring Glebe Cottage.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Classically and cleanly designed bedrooms with bespoke handmade wooden furniture to sleep four. A king in the master bed and rain shower offer those added luxury touches you’ll have come to expect.
