Description
Be kings and queens for a while as you rule your very own tower. Feast your eyes on the unique period charm at all corners while basking in the glorious views of the Sussex countryside.
Sussex charm
As you draw up along the secluded lane deep in the Sussex countryside, you get your first glimpse of the flint and brick tower, reigning high above the woodlands. Gothic revival windows twinkle along every façade, welcoming to your very own lofty retreat. Step inside and your dreams of grandeur come true – rarely do holiday homes come as unique as this one. And all in absolute comfort.
Once the shooting lodge for the Ashburnham Estate, this three-storey tower offers the perfect combination of period charm and modern comforts. Shooting Box Tower is also about the views. Those vistas that greet you at every window on upper floors. Gaze far across the Sussex woodlands and pastures. Make the Cream Room or Country Room yours and those views stretch as far as Hastings on the coast.
Back downstairs, feast your eyes on the interiors. High ceilings, wood panelling with corbels, Gothic windows on all aspects and tapestries sitting on elegant wooden floors make up the open plan living space. Sit back in comfort on the stylish sofas in front of the cosy wood stove set in the original fireplace.
Natural light floods into the kitchen too, also with an original feature fireplace and rustic look but fully equipped for modern culinary creations. Tasteful artwork by local artists graces every room and the tapestry theme runs throughout the tower adding a quirky touch.
Outside is just as lovely. Time your visit to see the carpets of bluebells and wild anemones in the woodlands, to enjoy the lush summer greenery or the unique glimpse of your tower clad in snowy white in the winter.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
4 spacious bedrooms on the first and second floors and all with sweeping views and original features sleep 8 comfortably. A full bathroom and separate shower room on the ground floor complete the accommodation.
