Description
Feel the tranquillity fold around you as you relax in absolute peace and quiet. Yours is serenity, in the soaring beams and floods of sunlight, your mezzanine nook and sun-drenched patio. Welcome to your Sussex sanctuary.
Sussex sanctuary
When you pass the oast house set in serene woodlands, you know you’re on the way to somewhere special. Draw up outside this majestic thatched barn in a haven of absolute peace and quiet and you know you were right. Step inside and allow your breath to catch just ever so slightly as you take in the lofty beams rising high above you. Yes, this is it, your Sussex sanctuary.
Beautifully-restored, Strawberry Hole Barn offers supreme comfort in the most stunning surroundings. The living room stretching far and wide is flooded with Sussex sunlight streaming in through floor-to-ceiling windows along the length of an entire wall. Beams soar above you adding a cathedral air to this charming space. Sit back on the pristine white settees next to the feature wood stove to really take it all in.
The upper floor, accessible via a double staircase, leads to a quirky but restful mezzanine nook. The perfect spot for reading or listening to music. And then to the pretty bedrooms, beamed and under the eaves where pretty country quilts lie atop king size beds.
Flow outside into the private patio where a water feature provides a harmonious soundtrack and the southern orientation ensures sun-drenched relaxation. Create a little something on the barbeque outside or in the fully-equipped rustic kitchen inside.
And then venture beyond your patio to explore the private grounds and woodlands, acres of them, and all yours to enjoy. And if you’re visiting during the warmer months, arrange usage of the private pool. Go a little further and you reach some of the loveliest gardens in the land. Those at Great Dixter are walkable and others such as Pashley Manor and Scotney Castle are also nearby.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Two generously sized bedrooms, both with king size beds, sleep 4 people. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom, one with walk-in shower and the other with bath/shower. There’s also a handy cloakroom downstairs.
