Description

Enter a world of design where quirky, stunning and opulent features create a relaxing retreat. Settle into the designer sofa, soak into secret garden hot tub, then relax some more in your beautiful boudoir.

Yorkshire dream

The elegant façade with its stylish kerb appeal gives just a hint of what’s behind the smart door, but nothing prepares you for the feast of design within the four walls of this traditional stone cottage. Every nook and cranny has been exquisitely decorated and decorated with decadent antique and modern touches. And that’s just the inside. The retreat’s traditional past comes alive in the feature ceiling beams, stone nooks and sloping eaves in the bedroom. Choice antique pieces add to a timeless touch. But contemporary design plays a big part too with bespoke furniture and decoration showcased in each of the rooms.

In the sitting room, classic florals bloom on a very modern sofa while Italian bronze plasterwork makes the perfect feature wall along with an outsized mirror. The inlaid table offers intimate dining by the window, also home to a stunning jade window seat. The list of designer touches in the kitchen runs long – think Smeg, Silestone and Bosch – and in this nook of the cottage you’ll find the door to that secret garden.

Upstairs, the master bedroom combines opulence and comfort, providing the perfect retreat after a long day exploring local delights. Luxurious fabrics – think velvet, silk and cashmere – adorn the bed while the lacquered wardrobe brings an oriental touch to your boudoir. Exquisite touches continue in the bathroom while vibrant jade tiles come edged in copper, also reflected in the tap and shower fixtures.

Outside, once you’ve stepped along the sensory walkway, you’ll discover a secret oasis. Your very own sunken Italian garden complete with ancient olive tree watching over the hot tub, twinkling fairy lights and an outdoor kitchen made for al fresco dining at its best.

At the gateway to the stunning Yorkshire Dales, this cottage is also within easy driving distance of the county’s finest cities. Ripon, Harrogate and perhaps the UK’s finest cathedral city, York, all await you nearby. If you can resist the call of the secret garden and stay away for long, that is.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

This design retreat comes with two bedrooms, one master and one with children’s bunk beds. There’s one bathroom on the first floor. Up the bespoke steps next to the bunks lies a den, yet another secret space just waiting to be discovered in this Yorkshire design dream.

Reviews

The property is lovely, cosy and comfortable. It is well equipped with crockery, cutlery etc and the main bed is so comfortable. The kids loved the upstairs floor, loads of hot water on demand, washer and dryer a great bonus for muddy clothes and the log fire is really great. Would recommend

Mrs S,

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage is beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Lovely touch receiving a bottle of prosecco as a welcome gift. Enjoyed our visit and would 100% book again in the future.

Mrs D,

We stayed at Park View over May half term with our two young girls (aged 5 and 7) - What a fantastic property! We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather and the outside kitchen and hot tub which, are amazing and we put to good use! The den for the girls was a added bonus! Thanks to Alex for being a great host, we would highly recommend Park View and hope to visit again soon.

Previous Customer

I recently stayed here for 6 nights and it is a relaxing place to have a holiday. The hosts have furnished to an excellent standard. They were also incredible helpful from the start of my stay with a welcome hamper, right to the end with the smoothest check out I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this place to others
