Inside, the open-plan ground floor boasts Italian bronze inlaid plasterwork, bespoke furnishings, and other decorative finishes procured from British and European design houses. The classy, modern fixtures complement the original stone mantle and floors, the beamed ceilings, and a wood burning stove. Even the hand-crafted kitchen - which includes a wine fridge, silestone worktops, copper hardware and branded appliances such as Bosch and Smeg - has access to the garden through a stable door. The garden itself feels like another world thanks to its fairy lights, mirrors, and sensory walkway.

Upstairs the bedrooms feature the same high-quality décor and bespoke furnishings.  The half-vaulted ceiling in the king-size master bedroom increases the sense of space and comfort, not to mention the views it has of the village. The second bedroom has a bunk bed for the children. Above the children’s bedroom is the den, with another two single beds and a game station. For added privacy, both bedrooms and the den have Smart televisions with Netflix. Parkview Cottage further benefits from off-street parking, but it’s really the attention to detail that makes Parkview Cottage second-to-none. 

A picturesque village with everything you need nearby

Kirkby Malzeard itself has all the charm you would expect from a Yorkshire Dales village. The Queens Head - the village pub - serves home-cooked food and hosts a pub quiz every Wednesday night. Besides the pub, there is a fish and chip shop (perfect for a simple supper after a day out exploring), a local butcher (handy, because Parkview Cottage has a barbecue in the outdoor kitchen), a village store for all your essentials, and a newly-opened antiques and curios shop. The village creamery has been a producer of traditional Wensleydale cheese for nearly 100 years and is now part of the Wensleydale Creamery (headquartered in the northern dales market town of Hawes). Beyond Kirkby Malzeard, Harrogate is easily reachable by car, as are the beautiful cities of Ripon and York to soak up some culture or enjoy some retail therapy.
