Really wonderful peaceful stay in a comfortable ‘folly’. One week wasnt long enough to see everything. Hoping to be back. All the staff we met at Holkham establishments were superbly helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Very comfortable accommodation and idyllic location.

A fantastic location if you like solitude, set well into the estate among woodland with wildlife in abundance including roe deer, owls, foxes etc. The mile long route in from the gates is through open pasture with herds of fallow deer and flocks of sheep, hares, and in the evening lots of rabbits. Holkham is a wonderful place to stay particularly if you are into wildlife, especially birding. The wildlife conservation area is close by as is the beach. The Victoria restaurant is easy to get to without coming off the estate where the food is very good. The lodge itself is very cosy and warm once the log burner is lit. (There are two radiators but not quite adequate on there own for us as at the time, february, as the outside temperature was close to freezing) It consists of one very large, comfortable bed sitting room with separate loo and shower room. Plenty of things like tea, coffee, sugar etc plus some very nice Holkham biscuits, both savoury and shortbread. There are dog bowls provided along with some treats in a tin.

Beautiful peaceful location, been here several times before and will always look forward to a return visit.

Perfect and peaceful surrounded by the woods with pheasants and deer all around. Lodge was extremely comfortable with large bed and plenty pillows. Welcome pack was lovely especially the caramel and sea salt biscuits. Cosy evenings spent in front of the wood burner with a plentiful supply of wood which was restocked during our stay. Perfectly placed to access Holkham beach and the free parking was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

We, as before, thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time at Palmers Folly, plenty of walking, enjoyed the peaceful environment. Will definitely be back.

What a lovely stay! There is something quite magical about staying on the Holkham Estate. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves the North Norfolk Coast and the estate itself.

If you're looking for a peaceful break in a beautiful setting you won't be disappointed. Holkham Hall itself is a bonus as is the nearby beach and Wells Town.
