Description

As featured in The Telegraph in November 2018 in an article titled 'Self-Build. It can be fun to make a little go a long way'.

With its outer shades of white and light blue that evoke its nearby coastal setting, and with an interior blend of traditional and chic, the Old Print Shop captures perfectly the Norfolk coastal style. The town of Holt itself is renowned for its art and antique galleries, and for its Georgian charm, but even so, the Old Print Shop stands out for its freshness. This luxury self-catering property may be just the right size for a romantic getaway, but its magic lies in its deceptive spaciousness on the inside.

A gem amongst gems

Set just off the town’s High Street, the Old Print Shop immediately features a small shingled courtyard, where guests can share a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Inside, the sitting room combines with the dining room. There are two button-back Chesterfield sofas and a wood burner to set an even tenderer mood.

Separately, an angled kitchen gives the property just the right dose of quirkiness to make it feel like home. Cooking at home will be a pleasure anyhow, thanks to Holt and its food shops which offer the best of local produce. For those little treats, you might want to sneak in every now and then, however, after a day spent visiting the local art and antique galleries, and window shopping in the fashion boutiques, Holt’s charming pubs and restaurants are sure to leave you feeling even more like a welcome local.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

In true style, the Old Print Shop features a state-of-the-art walk-in wet room on the first floor. On the other side of the landing, and with an oval bath in the corner of the room, the king-size master suite will really make couples understand that the property was designed with them in mind. Further decorated with a feature wall, white-scrubbed floorboards, and Velux window, where better to reconnect as reality gently soaks away?

Practicalities

A starter pack of fuel for the wood burner is provided.

Parking permit provided for stays over 5 nights from 1st April till 1st September only.  Roadside parking also available

Reviews

Lovely place to stay, central to where we wanted to visit. Everything provided to cook in should you wish. Lovely comfortable bed and linens. All the extra touches were lovely surprise too.

Mrs H,

Lovely well equipped cottage. Lots to do and see in Holt. Very handy for lots of other places in area. Very nice welcome basket.

Mrs W,

Gorgeous cottage and stunning decor! Holt is an amazing place to stay. The owners kindly left milk and bread etc was lovely...

Ms A,

My wife and I loved staying in the Old Print Shop. The attention to detail and the care shown by the owners ensured our stay was thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is located centrally in the town and in the North Norfolk area enabling easy access to all the local beauty spots and amenities. We want to return as soon as possible.

Mr C,

We found the cottage comfortable, a good sized bedroom and a nice sitting room. The kitchen was small but well equipped and easy to prepare food in. The cottage was very close to all the amenities in Holt.

Mrs W,

Lovely cottage everything you need great location, car parking at allotments ideal

Mrs W,

We had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable cottage. The accommodation was beautifully presented and a welcome pack provided by the host was very welcome . A great location close to Holt and all its amenities and well placed for trips to North Norfolks’s attractions.

Mr B,

Stylish accommodation, good location & free parking close by. Comfortable bed & some v nice extras, dressing gowns, basket of goodies and extra basic provisions in the fridge. Much appreciated call to say earlier arrival was available.

Mrs C,

Great location, close to shops and restaurants, not a great property for tall males, bathroom could prove messy with shower, but overall really good

Mr W,

Excellent property and spotlessly clean . Great location - would definitely recommend it.

Mr P,

The Old Print shop was lovely but if we owned it we would put the bath in the bathroom and not in the bedroom.

Mrs H,

Very pretty little cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. thank you.

Mr B,

The Old Print Shop Is a very stylish and comfortable cottage and an excellent base for a holiday in North Norfolk. As it is located in the town centre, all the shops, restaurants and coffee shops are all within easy reach on foot. This does mean that the (free) car parking space is a good 10 minutes walk away, we felt that it was worth it.

Mrs D,

Beautiful cottage in great location

Mrs B,

Before our Holliday started the owner called say the cottage was ready to access early which was a bonus, The cottage was easy to find where we parked outside to unload, I went to park the car at our designated place, this was about a 5 minute walk through the narrow streets. The cottage was welcoming with a lovely welcome pack and we found it clean and tidy. The location is in a great place in Holt and very central to other areas that we visited. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone, thank for everything xx

Mr G,

Absolutely beautiful. Had a great week, loved everything about it. Location amazing and a lovely pace of life. Will be visiting again.

Mrs R,

Great to be in a village location local amenities very useful. Parking location not so easy to find but that was because we walked it but would have been easier to follow instructions by car.

Mrs R,

We stayed at a very cold but sunny time and had a lovely walking holiday. It was great at the end of the day getting back to a warm, comfortable cottage. Very near to shops and pubs etc. Ideal. The thoughtful welcome pack and chocolates were a bonus. We have no hesitation in recommending this as a nice getaway for two. Fabulous bath and wet room.

Mr A,

This is a beautiful property with careful touches by the owners in abundant evidence. We were treated to sweets, surprise Christmas presents, an arrival basket, coffee, tea, milk etc. etc. there were games, dvds and sufficient books to last a couple of months.

Mr B,

Beautiful cottage, great location. Holt was a lovely friendly area, nice independent shops, bars & restaurants. Was picture postcard with the Christmas decorations . Wonderful short break.

Mrs B,

Great property in the heart of Holt. Comfortable for 2 people. In light of the terrible, cold weather we were pleased that the house was so warm.

Dr S,

Beautiful cottage, perfect location. Welcome hamper and milk, butter, and jam left which was a lovely surprise. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was just perfect after a day in the fantastic shops. Perfect place and perfect location as literally town centre right there but with the beauty of being peaceful. Many thanks.
