Description
The difficult part is choosing your sunny spot for that morning Nespresso or evening little something. Will it be the sun-drenched patio? In the orchard? By the glorious wisteria? All restful and beautiful. All yours.
Your Eden
There’s definitely a feeling of paradise about this Cornish cottage set in lovely secluded gardens. Green, green lawns stretch before you, dotted with mature trees, pastel hydrangeas, snowy cherries and the queen of the garden, a glorious wisteria whose amethyst blooms scent the spring. And to enjoy your Eden, lots of seating areas – a sun-drenched patio, a lawn outlook and a nook by that wisteria. They’re all sun-drenched and with restful views over your own paradise.
The greenery is visible from the inside of this lovely cottage too. Built in traditional Cornish stone, the spacious house has been completely renovated to provide a stay in modern comfort. Step inside to the light and airy living areas, all looking out onto those gardens.
Delicate grey cabinetry, striking wooden countertops and just the occasional accent of Cornish blue make up your kitchen that flows into the dining area complete with feature fireplace and woodstove. Two deep, deep settees sit in the sitting room, flooded with natural light and views to your gardens. There’s a wood stove here too to take the edge off the chillier evenings. And upstairs, it’s just as restful. All four comfortable bedrooms are prettily decorated in country cottage style and look out over the grounds.
And beyond, a Cornish paradise awaits with the delights of the scenic Vale of Lanherne just outside your garden gate. St Mawgan offers a quintessentially English village green and award-winning pub. Venture slightly further and Cornwall’s famous surf lies on the coast as well as plenty of footpaths crisscrossing the lovely countryside before they join the South West Coast Path. And best of all? Your very own garden of Eden waiting for you at the end of the day.
