Pont View is a stunning, modern two bedroom apartment ideally situated in the beautiful small town of Fowey. This holiday apartment is perfectly placed in the middle of the town centre, full of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. Providing the perfect base to enjoy a day out exploring the local area or just kicking back and relaxing on its delightful roof terrace overlooking the river, Pont View has been masterfully designed to maximise the space and light as well as the tranquil estuary views. Tucked away down a private alley just off the bustling main street, you'll find a reverse-level, chic apartment with the first floor home to the two stylish bedrooms and bathrooms. At the top, the lovely, open-plan living area provides generous space and the perfect place to dine with a view!
GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance Hall: The hall contains a useful storage cupboard for body boards and fishing nets (which are provided for use).
FIRST FLOOR:
Master Bedroom: This includes a king size bed and views over bustling Fore Street. Stylish wood panelling and coastal colours bring the seaside vibe. There is also a dressing table and chest of drawers with TV. A luxurious en-suite kitted out in soft beige tones featuring a shower cubicle, wash basin, WC, underfloor heating and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: A large super king bed can be divided into twin beds (made as twin beds on request only). SThis room has similar coastal tones and panelling to the main bedroom but also includes a handy fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers with a TV.
Family Bathroom: A great family bathroom with coastal style wood panelling around the bath. It also has a separate shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.
SECOND FLOOR:
A coastal theme upstairs with wooden panelling, quartz counters and views over the river.
Kitchen/dining/living area: Luxury kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine / tumble dryer, kettle, toaster and espresso coffee machine. Glass table with 6 chairs. Corner sofa and two seater sofa.
Outside space & Parking: A South East facing terrace with seating and views over the river. Private parking not available, however a long stay car park is a 10 minute walk away.
Baby Equipment: Stair gate provided.
Power and Heat: Electricity included; Electric heating.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
NOTES: No smoking. No pets. WiFi provided. Be careful when accessing the terrace as the entrance is positioned off the stairs. Mobile phone reception varies.
Location
If you haven't yet discovered Fowey, you've got a treat in store. Full of multicoloured cottages, perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea, this little fishing town has lots to tempt visitors.
There is an entrancing collection of unique local shops and boutiques, along with harbourside cafes, pubs which will give you a hearty welcome and a good atmosphere, and restaurants offering tempting local produce. If you want a unique insight into the local species in these waters, you could visit Fowey Aquarium, whose residents include specimens brought in by local fishermen.
If you're a fan of Daphne du Maurier, you may want to visit the Literary Centre, which gives information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. There is also the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, held in May, in which du Maurier, and many other authors, artists and musicians, are celebrated. Another great spectacle is the Fowey Royal Regatta, held in August.
Fowey lies within one of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall, and the backdrop of the surrounding countryside, with its tidal creeks, rolling fields and rugged cliffs, will make you want to return here again and again.
