As romantic getaways go, this one has it all. Sumptuous touches at every turn, fine details and luxury extras make Mole End a place you’ll both remember forever. Tucked away in the heart of Southwold, this Victorian cottage has been brought right up to the 21st century to offer comfortable luxury for just the two of you.

This is all about relaxation and choosing the right soundtrack for the Sonos speakers throughout the property. Step inside to your master bedroom where luxe linen and robes await you next to the velvet (yes, velvet) bed. Take a moment to peek at your bathroom where the roll-top bath takes centre stage against stunning azure subway tiles.

Next, it’s upstairs to your living space flooded with that glorious Suffolk light. Check out the wood-burning stove, perfect for those chillier evenings while you both curl up on the velvet (yes, more velvet) sofa complete with leather footstool. Soft greys and greens set the tone for the open-plan space with a kitchen dreams are made of. DeVol cabinets in pewter grey, topped in brilliant white give you a hint of the fine wining and dining ahead. Miele appliances plus a Nespresso machine make those romantic meals for two all so easy.

Then, if (and it’s a big if) you do step outside, the pretty town of Southwold awaits your curiosity. Explore together the High Street with its array of little shops, cafes and restaurants before you step across to the beach, just moments away. And then it’s back to your very own hideaway, just for the two of you.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Mole End has one bedroom, complete with a velvet bed and robes for two. The spacious bathroom has a roll-top bath and separate shower. Both are on the ground floor.

Beautifully renovated. Had everything I needed and a stone’s throw from shops and the beach. Very good quality fixtures and fittings. Love the Jim Lawrence lights, fitxtures and fittings and the Le Creuset kitchenware cookware.

The cottage was a lovely place to stay. A 2 minute walk from the beach and a 5 minute away from the town centre. The cottage had everything you needed inside - lots of great cooking equipment to a washing machine and tumble dryer. Would definitely stay again.

High spec equipped property in a fantastic location although the bedroom is quite cramped. Parking close by and free. Underfloor heating and general room temperatures easily controlled. Information received about the property and local area was really appreciated and useful. However, some information was unfortunately out of date.

Mole End was just fabulous - generous in every sense - from the owner’s introduction, to the delicious welcome goodies & the gorgeous bathroom products. A treat. Fantastic location. There is no garden, but the cottage is located in a courtyard & is so close to a green that this wasn’t an issue for toilet breaks for our little pooch. We loved everything about Mole End and we will definitely book again - returning to Southwold is always a joy.

Mole End is a beautiful cottage in Southwold , it had everything we needed and loved the high tech package. A mirror would be nice in the bedroom to do hair etc, and the front door lock was a bit iffy (we couldn’t get the key out whenever we came back from being at the beach) hence the alarm went off , otherwise a beautiful place , definitely be back

We had the best stay at Mole End. It was the perfect property for us - a gorgeous bathroom, kitchen and lounge area with all the high spec equipment you could imagine. The speakers in each room were a lovely touch. As was the coffee machine and Dyson hair dryer! Great position to walk to Southwold town centre and had no trouble with parking. We will definitely be back.
