Think long, lazy mornings on the plush sofas or on the intimate patio for two under the arbour. Quiet evenings in front of the cosy woodstove or al fresco as you watch yet another of those famous Suffolk skies end the day. Long, long soaks in the uber-elegant tub. All in absolute peace and quiet and just the two of you.

The most elegant light oak sets the tone throughout your country haven. Stylish oak floors are echoed in the furniture and countertops throughout while splashes of ruby and taupe provide just the right contrasting accent. Two sumptuous velvet sofas await you as does elegant dining on oak inside or comfy seating on the private patio outside. And to prepare it, the most sophisticated of kitchens with white cabinetry and elegant chrome touches.

In your bedroom, it’s more of the same. The finest bed linen lies on your king size bed where the deepest of sleeps comes guaranteed. Especially after you’ve enjoyed a turn in the tub in the bathroom of elegant marble and chrome.

Venture forth and you’ll find Wilby, a lovely Suffolk village on your doorstep. Historic Framlingham with its castle and shops and restaurants galore is only slightly further away as are the pretty seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. And should you want to share this rural retreat, Sundial Lodge next door offers group accommodation.

Wir hatten sehr schöne Urlaubstage in der Woodland Lodge und können sie wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Mehr kann man nicht verlangen: viel Platz zum Entspannen, eine tolle Küche mit Esstisch, ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer, ein großes schönes Schlafzimmer mit Stauraum und ein beeindruckendes Bad mit großer Dusche und Badewanne. Alles was man braucht, aber auf hohem Niveau: hochwertige Einrichtung und Ausstattung, sehr sauber und komfortabel. Mit einem sehr wunderbaren privaten Garten am Wohnzimmer und einer kleinen Terrasse an der Küche. Für einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub vom Alltag genau das richtige Zuhause auf Zeit.

Our first impression opening the door was wow. Followed by wow, wow and wow. Such a beautiful lodge, very well designed and thought out. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. Home from home you just felt the stress melt away. Pretty little garden and an attached woodland was just delightful. The owners were lovely and helpful and on site if you needed them. The lodge is very well based to discover the surrounding area. Everything we needed for a relaxing holiday with a touch of luxury. We will definitely return.

Wow, this is an absolutely wonderful holiday cottage and a great place for a quiet romantic break for two. It is clean and well equiped to such a very high standard. Charlotte and John are excellent hosts being on hand for any questions that may arise but still respecting the peace, tranquility and privacy that goes with a cottage in such a beautiflly quiet location.
