Description

Yes, all this luxurious space and comfort is really yours. Ready and waiting for just the two of you at perhaps the ultimate couple’s retreat. All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy.

Suffolk retreat

As you draw up outside this pretty barn, whose entire façade comes fitted with picture windows, you know you’ve picked somewhere special. All this outside space, basking in the Suffolk sunshine and decked with country flowers, is yours and just yours to enjoy. But before you sit back and relax with a little something on the patio, step inside to yet more luxurious space. All yours too.

The open plan living space stretches generously before you, filled with natural light that floods in through those picture windows. You instantly spot those spaces for utter relaxation – two deep leather sofas, an intimate dining nook – in front of a wood burner for warming your toes on the cooler nights. Feast your eyes on that feature partition wall and stunning beamed ceiling, adding depth to all your space. Flow through into your sleek modern kitchen where cooking for two will be a dream amidst the black granite and integrated appliances, flanked by a bold red splashback.

And then step into your boudoir where space abounds and comfort rules supreme. Natural wood combines to perfection with shades of white and cream with just the right dash of blue to catch your eye. And then there’s your bathroom, again more than generous in size and with a freestanding soaker tub poised invitingly centre stage.

Should the two of you venture beyond your spacious retreat, it’s an easy walk to the pretty village of Ufford where two excellent pubs await you. View the picturesque countryside on the walking trails around the village or get in a round of golf. You might even visit the spa, but then again, there’s that soaker tub back at your hideaway for two.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Hawkeswade Barn sleeps two in very spacious comfort with a king size bed and patio access from the bathroom. A large bathroom with separate bath and shower completes the accommodation.

Reviews

The barn was cosy and warm and contained everything we needed. The owners made us welcome and at the same time gave us privacy to enjoy our few days away.

Ms N,

The cottage was excellent.

Mr S,

Superb cottage in a superb location, John the owner was welcoming and helpul.

Mr V,

A comfortable haven on the edge of the village. Very well furnished and thoughtfully decorated. No problems with appliances as all worked as they should. Information about the area provided by the owner was very useful.

Mr F,

Excellent break in a lovely cottage/barn central to visit quite a few places in the area. Well equipped and plenty of room for 2. Highly recommend.

Mrs D,

The cottage is in a very peaceful location and as the owners live next door they are at hand if any problems occur and were very helpful when we needed some advice. The accommodation is immaculate and the fixtures and furnishings are high quality and very comfortable. There is a lovely secluded and pretty garden to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

Mr H,

Lovely place. Very well equipped and very comfortable stay. The owner is on site adjacent and lovely to meet him. Good location for visiting Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge. Just a shame museums were closed, our fault, we should have checked beforehand.
