Sink into the plushest sofa, lie back on the sumptuous bed and discover complete relaxation as you contemplate the supreme elegance around you. And then the hard bit – which Whitby delight will you step out to see today?

Whitby Wonder

Turn the key in the regal door under the arched stone entrance with the delights of Whitby all around you and then step into elegance at its very best. Your traditional brick townhouse not only rubs shoulders with Bagdale Hall, the second-oldest building in town but oozes fine living at every turn.

Admire your living room first. Decorated in pewter in the satin-soft sofas (can you resist?), feature fireplace and the mirror, this is a sanctuary to kick back and relax into. Sink into the cushions as you watch Whitby go by through one of the windows or settle into a session of Netflix on yet another sumptuous seat by the other. Best of all? There’s room and some for all eight of you on these gorgeous sofas.

Flow-through into your kitchen-diner. All the appliances sit behind elegant white with the black range taking pride of place while the Butler sink just gleams. Comfy corner seating ensures there’s plenty of room for everyone around the dining table, placed next to another feature fireplace, this time in deepest blue.

Step along the Yorkshire flagstones back outside for a moment to discover your private courtyard, complete with summer house and barbecue. The perfect spot to make the most of the Whitby sunshine – your two furry friends will love it here.

On the two upper floors, four bedrooms reflect the same elegance and comfort. Bag the top floor master suite if you can – under the eaves, a king-sized bed and glorious en suite crowned with a chandelier over the free-standing bathtub.

And then outside to Whitby. Literally on your doorstep with all the attractions a few strides away (except of course for the Abbey, up those 199 steps): your holiday home’s namesake HMS Endeavour, Whitby Museum, fish and chips, beaches, the harbour, traditional Yorkshire afternoon tea…

Endeavour House sleeps 8 in four spacious bedrooms, three with kings and all with smart TVs and Sky packages. A family bathroom, two en suites and a downstairs cloakroom complete the accommodation.

The house is lovely, the location is perfect, and we had a fabulous family holiday in Whitby. But the kitchen was not as clean as it should have been, also there were no cleaning products provided. No parking permit provided, as stated, and missing tv equipment (did not match the house description - unsure as whether it was incorrect, broken or stolen). Raised a complaint with Original cottages on the day (saturday), but it was not until I received a call from Jo (original cottages).that she helped us out and organised a welcome pack (which was missing) and cleaning products. Many thnaks Jo for the prompt action and thank you to the 2 chaps in your Whitby office.
