Iden Green Farm Stables is nestled in a small village on The Weald between the North and South Downs which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Kent.  The property is a beautifully converted stable where the owners offer many thoughtful touches to make your stay special. The property is well-suited to small groups of friends who like to spend time relaxing together or a family holiday.

With the warming glow of the wood burning stove on a cold winter’s evening to the private garden and patio area where you can watch the sunset and take in the countryside views, Iden Green Farm Stables is suitable for holidays in all seasons.

There are three comfortable bedrooms - red, green and blue. The owners have also added thoughtful touches such as bathrobes and slippers for use during your stay.

This picturesque area boasts several National Trust places to visit close by, just two of our most popular in this part of Kent are Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Scotney Castle. The Grade I Sissinghurst Gardens are maintained by the National Trust and are one of the most famous gardens of England.  They were created in the 1930s by Vita Sackville-West, a poet and gardening writer.

The gardens of Scotney Castle are an array of colour whenever you choose to visit. Be it the colourful and spectacular rhododendrons in Spring or the summer Wisteria there’s always a photo opportunity to be had. A country house set in romantic gardens with a 14th Century moated castle all in a beautiful wooded estate - just heavenly.

The historic coastal town of Rye is just a short drive away with its medieval half-timbered houses that line the cobbled lanes. Full of charm and beauty with unique shops, historic pubs and local independent restaurants, you can easily while away the day.

For those who may prefer to be close to the coast then The Palms in Hythe would be a fantastic choice. Standing on a hillside overlooking the delightful seaside town of Hythe with its old-world charm, The Palms oozes the glamour of a modern, spacious holiday home that would fit in well in California or the Cote D’azur.

The town of Hythe has an array of some great independent shops, cafes and restaurants.  There is a pebble beach with a promenade that stretches for miles, the Royal Military canal where you can hire a boat and explore the waterway and imagine you are in Venice being punted down the canal. I’m sure there is an ice cream shop nearby too for a Cornetto!

The miniature railway of Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch is very close by. For the past 90 years it has been an integral part of Romney Marsh landscape. The open carriages and the glorious countryside with wide reaching views is a pleasurable trip for all the family.
